Program Information
What IOP means for your family
An intensive outpatient program (IOP) gives more support than a weekly therapy visit while your child keeps up with school and home life. Many programs meet a few days a week for about three hours at a time, often in the afternoon or evening. Sessions are usually built around group therapy, with regular family involvement and check-ins about medication. Children and teens often move into IOP after PHP or a hospital stay, or start here when weekly therapy is not enough.
